Dear students, welcome to the 1st Semester of the 2023-24 academic school year!

I am really looking forward to the upcoming semester, building upon the skills you mastered last year, and helping you accomplish new challenges in the language arts subject area.  I feel that a positive learning experience is built on a collaborative effort among parents, student, and teacher, and I welcome your questions and concerns as the year progresses.

We have many expectations for our students at RSAE, and one of the biggest is being responsible for assignments and actions. Your are responsible for completing and turning in each assignment. Homework will be assigned one to two times per week in my class, in addition to daily journal writing/ reading logs (Monday-Thursday) which are expected to be turned in EVERY FRIDAY, unless otherwise noted on my web page lesson plans. It is essential that you follow up at home with assignments, projects, homework, correspondences, and reinforcing positive behavior. My weekly lesson plans (directions, PowerPoints, handouts, and homework) will be posted on my TEAMS page. Please check the TEAMS posts and my web page daily announcements for updates and assignment deadlines. 

It is my ultimate goal for each of my English students to experience success and to foster a love of reading and writing. I am thrilled to work with you over the course of the school year. If questions or concerns should arise, please feel free to email anytime. I look forward to starting class!
