RHHS students compete in Senator for a Day Contest 2015-Hosted by Senator Clementa Pinckney

This was Senator Clementa Pinckney's last time hosting the event, since he was murdered on June 17, 2015 at his church, Emmanuel AME, Charleston SC.  Senator Pinckney tells us how the contest started over 8 years ago and the many students he has hosted at the SC State Capitol as Senator for a Day.

RHHS DeAndre Smith Brown Wins Jasper County Senator for A Day Contest 2016

Congratulations to DeAndre Smith Brown, RHHS 10th grader, for winning the Jasper County Senator for a Day public speaking contest on February 22, 2016.  He competed against several RHHS students who represented the Beaufort-Jasper ACE, Jasper County Boys & Girls Club, Beyond All Limits and students from private schools.

RHHS Students Kayla Hasty & Alberto Vargas Honor Mayor Bronco Bostick at Retirement Banquet on May 21, 2016

Thank you to Kayla Hasty, Miss RHHS (c/o 2016) and Alberto Vargas, c/o 2017 for representing RHHS at Mayor Bronco Bostick's Retirement Banquet on May 21, 2016.  Both students gave an outstanding speech on how Mayor Bostick has helped the children of Jasper County over the past 8 years as mayor of Hardeeville.
