Description
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Fundamentals of Business, Marketing, and Finance is designed to encourage students to pursue successful careers as an entrepreneur in business, marketing, and finance. Students will gain a basic understanding of business concepts including international business, consumer rights, business and operations management, financial planning, knowledge, and skills that are utilized within business as it relates to a global society.
 
OBJECTIVE: Given the necessary equipment, supplies, and facilities, the student will be able to successfully complete all of the following standards for a course granting ½ credit at the middle school, one unit of credit at the secondary level which supports CTSOs (Career and Technical Student Organizations).

Students will create a Reflections PowerPoint presentation.  The presentation will be a reflection of specific skills/information learned from the lessons.  Students are allowed to work in teams of threes or individually. A rubric was provided.  The number of slides will vary based on listed reflections.  A student sample has been uploaded.  The presentation will be used as a project replacement or extra project points.  Students will keep their projects as a personal reflection of what they learned during the first semester.

Students will complete their business plans' start-up cost.  Students will use Excel to list and calculate the cost associated with getting their business started.  A rubric was provided.
