The Hardeeville Youth Council and the Department of Juvenile Justice joined forces with the Lowcountry Community Church Food Pantry for yesterday's Turkey with all the Fixins Giveaway. Youth Council members Leslie Escalante and Monserrat Trujillo (Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence) and Mia Bush (Royal Live Oaks Academy) rolled up their sleeves and helped prepare and bag sandwiches. These sandwiches along with cups of homemade vegetable beef soup were given as a bonus to everyone who visited the drive-through giveaway event. This initiative highlights the importance of community involvement and support during the holiday season and ensures that more families will be able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
