WELCOME

Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 School Year!
I am Cynthia Hasty, one of the School Counselors, at Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence High School.  I am here to support your academic, social and emotional growth. This school year I will be working with students with last names A - Jobe. 
 I am a proud product of Jasper County School System. I graduated from Ridgeland High School Class of 1986.  I am also a graduate of Benedict College, Webster University and Cambridge College.  Life has a way of changing and bringing you back to where it all started.  Those plans changed when I received my Master of Education in School Guidance and Counseling.  I have been with Jasper County School District for 23 years and 17 of those years being the School Counselor at Ridgeland Secondary Academy of Excellence.  I love being a Supporter, Believer, Counselor, Listener, and Advocate for so many children.
 
Personally, I am the mother of a beautiful daughter. I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family.

Together, we can create a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and empowered. I am dedicated to helping students move to the next level in their lives.
