About your Teacher
Welcome to the new school year. My name is Walisha Baines. I will be teaching English I and English II. I am from the beautiful sunny island of Jamaica. I love teaching and was educated at The Mico University College where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Language and Literature. I have since been teaching for the past nine (9) years. I am encouraging you to participate actively in the educational process throughout the year and feel free to contact me with any concerns. I hope both parents and students are as excited about the new school year as I am! Know that I am determined to putting my best efforts into the educational process. Remember that the community, parents as well as students, ought to be active stakeholders in this process, as our combined efforts are necessary to maximize progress. I am sure that every child is capable of achieving great things and I look forward to molding each child into achieving his/her full potential. I love teaching and was educated at The Mico University College where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Language and Literature. I also received a Masters in English at the Arizona State University. I have since been teaching for the past eleven (11) years.
