Research Report
Part I: Write a two-page report about a famous entrepreneur, such as Oprah Winfrey or Bill Gates. If you know an entrepreneur personally, then you can write about this person. Whichever option you select, discuss the person’s past life and background, such as where they were born, where they grew up, where did they attend grade school, where they attended college, etc. Most importantly, discuss how they got started with their business. Give a history of the business and how this entrepreneur was able to create and a lead company to success by using land, labor, and capital. In your conclusion, tell the reason why you selected this entrepreneur. Also, If you want to be an entrepreneur, tell me why you want to be one and what you learned from this report that can help you succeed in business one day.

*Read “Critical Thinking Skill; Sequencing and Categorizing Information.” p. 26; Complete the “Application Activity” located at the bottom of the page.

Today, you will be going on a virtual field trip to a museum or a history site of your choosing from one of the options below. Field Trips add an extra dimension to your educational experience. This cultural enrichment allows you to see history firsthand and up close. To get started, go to my website at www.jcsd.net. Then click on “schools.” Third, click on “Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School.” Fourth, click on “staff directory.” Then click on “Zyon Smiley” to access the first page of my website. Next, click on the “Virtual Museum & History Site Tours” option located on the right-hand side of the web page towards the bottom of a grey menu box list. Choose one item from the following options below:

Once you make your selection, click on the link and take your virtual tour. Spend at least 15 minutes browsing around and write a one-page report about your experience. Label your paper at the top, along with your name and the date. Discuss what you did on your tour. Discuss a little information about the museum or world historical site. What interesting things did you see? What things would you recommend that people focus on who have not yet visited? What fun things did you do? Would you be willing to visit this place for real someday? Why or why not?
