paintings out of this era and then one of the most famous design buildings from zero would be the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City that's the headquarters of the Catholic church in in Rome Italy so the Vatican is its own City country head of the Roman Catholic church and the discount our society today is more secular with very little religion look at the Renaissance Theater in general hey I've to transform the concept from its medieval symbolism to create some of the greatest works the world has ever seen new monarchies are rose especially in France England and Spain that fought to take power from traditional noble families and centralized it intellectual increasingly wrote in the vernacular or national languages rather than in Latin that's creating a whole new audience for their ideas the development of printing press allowed for cheaper books and help spread Renaissance ideals throughout Europe finally religious figures began to challenge the Catholic church is dominance over European Faith planting the seeds for what would become the Protestant Reformation through all of this sounds focused on a new appreciation of the abilities the individual along the way this new Focus created what we now recognize as the modern world all right so those are the basics now you get an idea what the Renaissance was over the course of the next few videos we're going to take a look
