National School Choice Week

We are joining thousands of students, parents, teachers, partners
and professionals from across the nation to celebrate School Choice
Week and the successes of hard work and dedication!
National SCHOOL CHOICE Week is an opportunity to highlight the
awesome initiatives that are occurring in our school.
Every child deserves an effective, challenging, and motivating
education. Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, and children
should have an opportunity to achieve their own American dreams.
Let’s commemorate our hard work and the progress that our
students are making towards achieving their American dream.

Former Graduates Share Motivational Message

RIDGELAND, SOUTH CAROLINA- Ten (10) former Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School (RHHS) graduates returned home from college and spoke to RHHS students.

The group visited classes and spoke to students about college life, activities all students should be doing to prepare for college, work and/or military, and life skills in general. Students were able to ask questions to the presenters about their college experiences and how to work on their GPA for college.

RHHS holds Career Day

To allow students to have a firsthand look at various careers available upon graduation, Career Day was held a Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School last week.
“Our vision is to have all of our students become college and career ready, and since we do not have the funding to take students to all of the businesses around the area, we are fortunate that the businesses send us representatives to speak to the students,” Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School Principal Karen Parker said. “By having the representatives visit our students, it is very beneficial to both the businesses and the students.”

Hampton University Band performs at RHHS

The students of Ridgeland-Hardeeville High school had the pleasure of enjoying a performance by the Hampton University Marching Band. RHHS Band Director, Davaron Edwards and HU Director of University Bands, Dr. Thomas L. Jones Jr., coordinated this event for RHHS students to interact with HU band students.

The Hampton University Band Program consists of the Marching Band, the Concert Band, the Symphonic Winds and the Basketball Band. The HU Marching Band consists of a select group of approximately 200 members. This organization consists of both music majors and non-music majors.

MISS RIDGELAND-HARDEEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL crowned in Annual Coronation and Pageant

RIDGELAND- Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School held its annual MISS Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School pageant on Saturday, October 7, 2017, crowning MISS Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School, Mr. & MISS Black & Red, and MISS Jaguar. The pageant featured five outstanding contestants for MISS Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School vying to win the crown for 2017. Contestants were Deviya Wright, Ashaunti Rucker, Kalauna Simmons, Angel Jackson and Alexis Mungin.

Schedule Update

The Jasper County School District will operate on a two-hour schedule delay for tomorrow, Monday, January 8;

Elementary school instruction time will begin at 9:30 am

Middle & High school instruction time will begin at 10:30 am

Central Services Staff report time - 10:00 am

Report Cards will be issued on Tuesday, January 16.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be rescheduled for a later date.

Marriot leaders present to CATE students

Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School is continuously preparing students for the opening of the new Career and Technology Education (CATE) facility. While students are working with hands-on projects daily, recently, students had the pleasure of meeting with leaders of Marriott Vacation Club Resorts.
RHHS Guidance Department Workbased Learning Program invited sponsored guest speakers from Marriott Vacation Club Resorts, Hilton Head Island to speak with students to highlight careers in the Hospitality and Tourism industry.
